This tour takes you deep into the lush countryside to Monkey Land, a 5-acre tropical sanctuary where friendly squirrel monkeys are waiting to meet you. But the adventure doesn’t stop there—you’ll also step into the local lifestyle with a visit to a typical Dominican home and a traditional Coconut House. From tasting organic coffee and cocoa to having a monkey sit on your shoulder, this half-day safari is filled with unforgettable “photo moments” and genuine smiles.
Your journey begins with a scenic ride through the Dominican countryside in an open-air safari truck. This adventure is designed to immerse you in the local culture before the magic of the animal encounter begins.
The experience is divided into two fascinating parts. First, you will visit a Typical Dominican House and the Coconut House (Casa de Coco). Here, you’ll meet local families and learn how they live from the land. You’ll have the chance to taste organic products like roasted coffee and cocoa, and witness the traditional process of making pure coconut oil.
Next, we head to the lush 5-acre Botanical Garden that the monkeys call home. For 45 minutes, you’ll enjoy a guided interaction with our friendly squirrel monkeys. These intelligent creatures are completely accustomed to human contact; they will climb down from the trees to sit on your shoulder, eat from your hands, and even pose for your camera! Trained by experts with decades of experience, this is one of the most heartwarming wildlife encounters in the Caribbean.
To help you plan your day, we offer two shifts (Morning and Afternoon). Please note that the order of visits (Monkey Land vs. Casa de Coco) may vary to ensure the best experience and avoid crowds.

The “Bright” Rule: Monkeys love shiny things! Please remove loose jewelry, sunglasses, or dangling accessories before entering the sanctuary, as they might try to “borrow” them.
Photo Ready: Keep your camera charged. The monkeys are famous for their “selfies,” but let them approach you—they love to sit on shoulders when they feel relaxed.
Support Local: Bring some extra cash for souvenirs at the Coconut House or tips for the guides who work hard to care for the animals.
Breakfast Box: If you choose the 7:00 AM shift, remember to ask your hotel for a breakfast box the night before.
Liability Waiver: All participants must sign a Liability Waiver before the start of the tour.
Pregnancy & Health: Pregnant women and guests with heart conditions, back problems, colds, or the flu are strictly prohibited from this tour.
Mobility: This tour is not accessible for people with disabilities or mobility problems.
Allergies: People with severe peanut allergies cannot enter the monkey area as the monkeys are fed peanuts.
Animal Care: No sunscreen or insect repellent should be applied right before the interaction to protect the monkeys’ health.
